Blacklight II is a high channel count, ultra-low latency interface, carrying 256x256 channels of 96 kHz 24-bit audio plus control data between SSL Live consoles and MADI devices on stage via a single cable. Featuring ruggedised connectors and cable redundancy, Blacklight II has been designed to offer a MADI I/O solution that is reliable and quick to deploy in the field, for those using point to point audio distribution.

Blacklight II cables are used to connect consoles to a BL II.D MADI concentrator unit, from which MADI is distributed to Stageboxes. Blacklight II is an optional connection type for new L550, L350, L200 and L100 consoles and for L300, L500 and L500 Plus legacy consoles.
