The Protech Audio Model 2014 Automatic Mixer is designed specifically for venues requiring high quality sound reinforcement and recording of proceedings. The unit is designed around the patented Dugan Speech System. Much like an experienced console operator, the Dugan algorithm allows turning up the gain on an active channel, while simultaneously attenuating unused channels. By subtracting additional gain from unused channels, the unit reduces echo and redistributes that gain to active channels. This allows greater gain-before-feedback than gated mixers. Unlike other mixers with direct outputs the model 2014 provides enough gain to each direct output to properly drive digital recording devices with analog inputs. The gain is adjustable to insure proper recording levels. Each direct output can be configured to provide any combination of inputs.
