TCA is a timecode analyzer that allows performing a variety of measurements related to LTC. As soon as the LTC reader is connected to a timecode source via an XLR cable, measurements begin automatically. The large 4.3” color display allows you to see all measurements at a glance. This includes the evaluation of all bits defined in SMPTE ST 12-1 such as color framing, phase correction and binary group flags. If encoded in the input signal, the date is also decoded according to SMPTE ST 262 and displayed. The frame rate is automatically detected and displayed, as well as Plura MTD timers. The input level is measured and displayed in V and in dBu. The waveform can also PP be examined. Errors in the input signal are detected and counted in three categories. With the built-in LTC generator, a time code signal path can be examined without needing an external signal source. The delay of the path can also be measured in this way.

  • Display of complete LTC information:
  • Time, User (Binary groups), Flags
  • Auto-detection of frame rate
  • Auto-detection of Plura MTD timers
  • Measurement of signal level
  • Display of LTC waveform
  • Detection and counting of drop-outs
  • Integrated free-running LTC generator
  • Delay measurements:
  • LTC reader vs. LTC generator
