openGear compatible module. The Link 1832 serial distribution amplifier restores the incoming signal to its proper amplitude. The signal is reshaped with automatic equalization and DC restoration. The 1832's maximum equalized cable length for SD up to 250ft at 270Mb/s and HD up to 100ft at 1.485Gb/s. Eight outputs are standard, but dual operation permits the unit to function as a dual 1 x 4 MD/SD-SDI distribution amplifier. Auto format selects the correct video format. The unit will also operate as a DVB-ASI distribution amp. In addition to video distribution, the 1832 will operate as a 2 x 1 HD/SD video switcher plus it will operate as a SDI input video presence detector. All functions are controlled by the frame dashboard. The 1832 input signal can be 270/360/540Mb/s, and 1.485Gb/s or 3Gb/s. The front card edge has LED's to detect various operating conditions. The LED's indicate if the signal is locked. The signal output level is 800mV p-p and re-clocked. The openGear series products are designed to be compatible with the openGear mounting frame of various manufacturers. LOG-1832 will accept level A or B multi-definition video signal.
