SCSI cable uses 30 Gauge (AWG) solid or stranded conductors with FRPP insulation. Conductors are then twisted into pairs with varying left-hand lays to reduce crosstalk. The required number of pairs are cabled with a left-hand lay, wrapped with a foam polypro tape. The cable is then dual shielded with an AL/PET tape (aluminum side out) and braid shield (A 30 AWG drain wire is inserted between the two shields). The SCSI cable is then jacketed in a CMG rated PVC jacket.
