The infrared emitter allows the Addressable Classroom Interface and the Addressable Control Module to transmit IR control commands to media sources. The emitter plugs into the 3.5 mm “mono” jack on the ACI/ACM. The opposite end is adhesive, and so is stuck over the IR sensor of the device to be controlled. There is an optional rubber mask that fits over the head of the emitter to completely cover the controlled device’s IR sensor, to eliminate interference and prevent unauthorized control.
