The ES-275U is a Video Character Inserter unit which receives an external source of IRIG-B timecode. 12 digits of time data (Day of Year Hours Minutes Seconds and Milliseconds) are superimposed onto a video signal looped-thru the unit. On-screen menus allow time setting adjustment of the display Size and Position and Mask Mode (black background on/off and transparent or solid display) and Milliseconds on/off. The brightness of the Characters and Background may be individually set via front-panel controls. The display may be turned on/off via a front-panel control. An optional RS-232 interface & Windows (R) Control Panel software may be ordered which allow remote control of the display modes.

UL---"UL" Approved Power Supply: The unit is supplied with a UL/CSA approved wall mount power supply.
1PPS---1 PPS Output: Provides a one pulse per second TTL output synchronized to the time code output.
Black---Black Anodized Front Panel.
DC---DC Operation: Requires the unit to be powered from a DC source exclusively, typically +12 to +35 VDC.
J---220 VAC/50 Hz Operation: The unit is configured to operate from 220 VAC line voltage. 117 VAC 50/60 Hz is standard.
DRemote Control: This option consists of a connector wired to switches on a control plate via a six-foot cable. Extra cable available.
L2---Two Additional Video Input/Output Sets: Available on most Video Inserters.
L4---Four Additional Video Input/Output Sets: Available on most Video Inserters.
P2Dual Rack Mount: Allows specific units to be mounted side-by-side on a single Rack Mount panel.
R---Remote Input: Rear-mounted connector for Remote Control.
SV---The BNC video connectors are replaced with S-VHS connectors.
