The Dolby E/AC-3 encoder sub module and software key option fits onto Avenue modules that benefit from comprehensive audio handling. In addition to the hardware sub module, a unique software key is provided for activation. The 7630 encoder is fed from selected outputs of the main module's channel mixer and shuffler. The resulting encoded bitstream can be output both on an AES output and embedded into the SDI output.
