No server required
The DC Media Network Edition installs on a local desktop, server or in a shared virtualized environment. Multiple install instances can share the same database in a multi-user environment.

DC Media does not require any external server access, all content is downloaded to the players over your internal network and then played off disk until the next content or playlist change. Internet Access is required for RSS and Weather feeds.
