The 770 is a 19" 3RU rack enclosure with an integral PSU which is used to power and house up to nine MediaStar Evolution 'blade' based processor modules in any combination.
These include the MediaStar MPEG2/H264/HLS Encoders, DVB-T/T2/CATV LAN-Caster and DVB-S/S2 LAN-Caster units (these units are supplied separately to the rack enclosure).
The 770 Chassis is supplied ready fitted with a 771 power supply unit (PSU) which converts the AC mains input voltage to low voltage DC power for each of the processor modules.
This also provides forced air cooling to the whole 770 rack enclosure. There are 3 LED indicators to show the status of the 5 and 12 volt rails as well as a fan warning indicator.
When the processor modules are fitted in the rack, their RF and Video/Audio inputs are accessible from the rear side, and network and control interfaces are available on the face. AC Mains input to the rack is via an IEC connector on the rear.
